The EAR Award will be presented to a person or group within the city of Calgary who has gone above and beyond in support of those in our visual arts community.

We are asking everyone in the community to please put names forward for nomination. This can be absolutely anyone at all from another artist, curator, teacher, business organization, or community leader to someone’s mother who has spent the last ten years feeding her kid and ten of her kid’s artist friends. Let’s take this opportunity to thank the people who have been helping us along the way.

Nominations for the award are open now. Award presentation date to be determined.

Please send your nomination to EAR via e-mail or mail.
Be sure to include the following information in your nomination:
1. Name of nominee.
2. Information about the nominee.
3. A short statement from you telling us how your chosen nominee has gone above and beyond in supporting an artist/artists in our community.

The award recipient will be chosen by a jury composed of two EAR board members and three members of the Calgary arts community.

Presentation of the award will take place in the spring of 2011.
